There was a letter I read recently that said:
Dear, Optimist,
Pessimist, and Realist,
While you guys were
busy arguing about the glass of water, I drank it.
Sincerely,
The Opportunist
So this got me thinking about the bickering that happens
during game play. I have been playing Smite, which you should totally try out
and join the VtWGaming Clan, and
seen this battle of opinions rain out on the battlefield. To my amazement that
the solution is just to win your match just like in other games. Now we see this on LoL, WoW, Civ V and … well, plenty of others. I understand we all have a perspective on the
way people should play a game. It is a balance of understanding the
complex progression of each move, counter-move, and reaction. Believe it or not kids, it’s all Friggin’ MATH. Damn Math teachers were right. But it is also a balance of people that create a strong and unified front. Yes, we all get Trolls, and Noobs. But don’t let that take away of the personal accomplishments that you bring to a team. Seize that opportunity. Use the goal of personal development to take the advantage and “Win the Day”. Because at the end of the match, while the others are barking about the why’s, how’s, and what if’s. You can enjoy that glass of water and prepare for the next adventure.
